All women, ages 18 – up, are cordially invited and encouraged to attend our monthly Lydia Circle meetings. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (except July), 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. A short devotion is given each month by volunteer speakers from within the group. The task is strictly on a voluntary basis, and the speaker determines her own subject matter. Each year, Lydia Circle hosts a church-wide Christmas party for the women of the church. A fun-filled Fall Retreat is usually held in October. Lydia ladies also organize the Thanksgiving Basket ministry, a golf tournament to raise mission trip funds, a Ladies Tea in the Spring, as well as other events throughout the year. Lydia Circle is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow church ladies in a fun and friendly setting. At the conclusion of each meeting, prayer requests are shared. Desserts and drinks are provided, as well as free child care. Our prayer is that you come join us! Why not put us on your calendar right now?

August 2012 Meeting Notes
Wonderful desserts and also a vegetable tray were provided at the August Lydia Circle by Linda Curry, Carol Cunningham and Vicki Halpine. Our speaker was Julie Goodbar, who presented a lesson on the power of the human tongue. Julie reminded us that even though it is a small part of our body, it wields a mighty power. Harshly spoken words can never be completely forgotten, and the degrading feeling that they cause is very difficult to overcome. We should always be guarded in our daily conversations, and always try to uplift, not tear down.
The September speaker will be Kathy Felts, and the food will be provided by Lisa Ball, Sammie Allen, and Mary Ann Watson.
Prayer requests: Alice and Tommy Reed; Duane and Sammie Allen; Peggy Harris; Jana Ferguson; Nellie Pinson; Carol Cunningham is having foot surgery on August 28th; our school children and the teachers as another school year begins; Tereasa Holmes; Becca Lineberry who lives in Memphis and is struggling with pregnancy issues; T.K. Roseberry and Kelli Gills who are both expectant mothers; Carol Rounsaville’s daughter as she is also expecting; Carol Cunningham and Linda Curry as they travel the weekend of August 17; Linda Curry is having her port removed on Monday, August 20th…a praise !
